Why are air filters widely used?

At present, there are 2532 enterprises producing air filters equipment nationwide, with a quarter of them established in the past five years. In recent years, the incidence rate of lung cancer has been rising due to factors such as air pollution, uncontrolled environment, and the continuous rise of smoking population. The public's anxiety and concern about the hidden dangers caused by environmental pollution have led to a continuous increase in environmental awareness among the whole population. In fact, the frequent occurrence of haze in the past decade has also led to rapid development of the air filter industry in the past few years. With the continuous progress of industrial technology, people's precision and cleanliness of industry are also constantly improving. Therefore, air filters are also frequently used in industrial production. We all know that there is a large amount of dust suspended in the air, which cannot be captured with the naked eye. Therefore, we cannot handle these dusts through general cleaning methods, but in many cases, these dusts often have a certain impact on their operation. For example, if dust in the air falls on the rotating parts of a machine, it will accelerate the wear of the rotating parts, reduce the accuracy and lifespan of the machine. Dust spreading in the workshop can reduce visibility, affect vision, hinder operations, and lower labor productivity. The use of air filters in industrial production can purify the air with low dust content and send it indoors to ensure the process requirements of clean rooms and the air cleanliness in general air-conditioned rooms. It is commonly used in the microelectronics industry, painting industry, food and beverage industry, biopharmaceutical industry, and so on.

The purpose of air filters is to obtain clean air that meets standards. Generally, ventilation filters are designed to capture and adsorb dust particles of different sizes in the air, improving air quality. Chemical filters can not only adsorb dust but also odor.
In addition, with the increasing demands of environmental protection on enterprises, there are particularly strict requirements for air pollution. For the exhaust emissions from factories, the strict requirement is toxicity. Certain heavy metals such as mercury, arsenic, chromium, beryllium, etc. are highly toxic and have strict emission restrictions. In terms of air toxicity, the United States and Germany have passed new and stricter legislation. After the implementation of new legislation, the limit on air toxicity has been reduced from the original 20mg/m3 (standard) to 010004mg/m3 (standard). To achieve this goal, the factory needs more advanced filters to remove submicron particles.
